For NDIS Support Workers

  • It is essential that COVID-19 training module and NDIS support worker modules are completed before seeing clients;

  • Call first before an appointment to check on the health of participant before attending the session; 

  • Carry your staff ID when you are out which identifies you as an essential worker; 

  • Be sure to follow DHHS advice for healthcare workers (found at:

  • Any healthcare worker or residential aged care worker arriving or returning from any overseas destination must self-quarantine (self-isolate) for a period of fourteen (14) days;

  • Healthcare workers who have been overseas in the past 14 days and are unwell with a compatible illness should not attend work and seek appropriate medical care. All unwell healthcare workers should consider being tested for COVID-19;

  • Rational use of Personal Protective Equipment;

  • Practice social distancing, maintaining a spatial distance of at least 1.5 meters is vital in reducing the spread of pathogens and reducing the contamination of surfaces;

  • Practice good hygiene includes washing your hands, covering your coughs;

  • Understand the limits that apply to essential gatherings and non-essential gatherings;

  • Be sure to regularly refer to the website for more COVID-19 updates from the government.
